Sherwood Baseball Program to HIT HOME RUN with New Hitting Facility and Your Help!
As a Sherwood Baseball parent, fan and sponsor, I’m very excited to get word that a committee has been formed to move forward with the building of a storage facility for their high school baseball program. With most of the schools we play against having their own hitting facilities that can be used year-round, having our own here in Sherwood would allow us to have a more successful baseball program and greatly benefit our Sherwood Athletes. This new hitting facility will be available for both our Sherwood High School Baseball Program and Sherwood Youth Sports Program.
Currently the ball is in motion to get this off the ground. So they can continue to move forward, many of us can help by reaching affordably within your means to make a donation of some kind for this much needed facility for our very own Sherwood Baseball Players. Here’s a couple ways you can help…
- Visit this Sherwood Booster Club website to make your contribution
- If you or someone you know is in a position to help with the needed materials and/or labor during the process, it would be greatly appreciated. Some of the items said to be needed will be help with excavation, concrete, electrical, roofing, etc. Understandably the ability to start a list now would be great to have on hand when the time comes. If you can help in this area, please email Kathi.lawrence@fnf.com
Their goal is to get this project done prior to the end of baseball season this year. They truly appreciate any support and believe it’s amazing what you can do, when a lot of people are doing what they can to make it happen. Please join the community in making Sherwood Baseball the best it can be!
Feel free to forward this blog post and request for support to others who have participated in SHS baseball in the past, or will have kids joining any of Sherwood baseball programs in the future.
Having three active boys in sports year-round, we’d like to take a moment to thank the Sherwood Athletic Programs and people involved for their ongoing commitment and dedication to our children and athletes. Sherwood’s acclaimed reputation for its outstanding schools and sports programs is largely dependent on the wonderful community effort of those who give of their time, resources or talent which makes Sherwood a great place to raise our kids. Thank you to all who rally together to make it happen.
Please help us help them spread the word – and doing what we can to make this happen!
Thank You,
The Gardner Team … “Go Bowmen!”
